Is this monitor compatible with Mac?
Yes. For the best experience, we recommend using the EM2451 with MacBook and Mac Mini models using Apple Silicon chips (M1, M2, M3, M4) or Intel Macs from 2018–2020 with T2 chip. These models fully support high clarity Retina scaling.
Which Mac models may not show the best clarity?
Older Intel-based Macs (2012–2017) may not support high-resolution scaling properly. In these cases, the display may show very small text or lower clarity.
Why is the default resolution 1920 × 1080 @ 2x on Mac?
This HiDPI setting makes text and icons look crisp and easy to read, like a Retina display. You can choose 3840 × 2160, but text may appear too small for daily work.
What resolution does it use for 4K video playback?
4K videos play in full 3840 × 2160 resolution. HiDPI affects only the interface, not video content, so movies and 4K clips show true native detail.
Does USB-C work with all devices?
The USB-C port supports video, data, and 65W charging. Please ensure your laptop or device supports DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3 / 4 for video output.
