COMMON TROUBLESHOOTING: Smartphones: This product includes a TRRS output cable for smartphones. Depending on your smartphone model, a lightning dongle or USB-C dongle may be required to connect it. DSLR Cameras: This microphone will work DSLR cameras with a 3.5mm external mic input. Some common DSLR cameras that don’t have a mic input include the Canon Rebel T5, T6, T7 (without the “i” suffix). Plug in power: This microphone does not have an internal battery and relies on plug-in power which is provided by your camera/smartphone directly through the audio cable. Most devices are compatible with this but some devices, including some Canon Vixia camcorders, are not compatible.
