Hanging out on the San Diego beaches and hiking the hills, Jim & Greg wanted to listen to their music in outdoor environments. This was the birth of ECOXGEAR, The Original Waterproof Audio company in 2007.

In 2022 they took their audio & LED patented technology to the next level to launch SoundExtreme by ECOXGEAR, in Houston, TX. In a few short years SoundExtreme has emerged as the leader in audio & LED solutions for UTV’s, golf carts and boats.

How did we get our start?

Jim & Greg were friends working in a tech start up and were tired of the corporate grind. When Apple and Samsung launched smartphones, how audio is listened to would forever be changed, so Greg & Jim wanted to lead the movement
